The first two updates don’t need too much explanation. For the Serverless Sync™ changes to take effect, please make sure that all of your registers are running the latest version of ShopKeep. And if you’ve been waiting to use ShopKeep on the iPad Pro, now’s your chance! Finally, here’s a little bit more detail about the customer assignment changes.
Add and attach customers more easily to any order
Intelligently utilizing customer management tools is a valuable strategy for any business that wants to be successful. ShopKeep has always made that easy for you by making it simple to gather customer information at the register and use it to send email receipts, sync to MailChimp for marketing campaigns, and track customer purchase history in the BackOffice.
With this release, we’ve improved the customer management experience on the register in two key ways. The first is by adding a convenient “+” button in the customer selection section of the transaction screen. This allows you to add a customer to any order right away without any extra taps. The second change is that we have updated the text in this section to say “Select Customer” in order to remind you to attach a customer to every order! Note that if you do not select a customer, the transaction will still be affiliated with the “Walk-in” customer.
