ShopKeep’s very own VP of Product, Drew Schwartz was recently featured in some research on the best retail pricing strategies carried out by Software Advice.

Here’s a brief rundown of the key findings of the survey:

  1. Discount is the most popular pricing strategy for retailers across all sectors, used by 97 percent of survey respondents.
  2. Discount, below competition and bundle are the most effective pricing strategies for the top retail sectors surveyed (department, specialty, grocery and e-commerce).
  3. A majority of respondents (51 percent) use software to manage product pricing; 39 percent of these use a standalone pricing application.
