Stock Items Export
Export your stock items to a spreadsheet to review your current inventory, including all basic and variant items. The Stock Items Export provides detailed information for each item, such as the Item ID, Department, Category, and Store Code.

Find the Stock Items Export
The Stock Items Export is just one of many useful reports that can be found in the Analytics section of BackOffice. With just a few clicks, your stock items can be downloaded into a spreadsheet.
- Sign into BackOffice & select 'Analytics' from the menu.
- Choose 'Stock Items' from the Exports section.
- Click the 'Download' button to retrieve the report.
- Open the report with a Spreadsheet program such as Excel, Numbers, Open Office, or Google Sheets.
Stock Items Export Explained
The many columns in the spreadsheet may seem daunting, but just follow along and see how simple it is to understand the Stock Items Export.
The export includes Basic and Variant Items. All variants are listed as individual rows with their own detailed information, just like the Basic items.
An ID number that is required for modifying/deleting items with Bulk Management. This cannot be changed.
An identification number that is unique for each basic and variant item. This also cannot be changed.
Name of the item as seen on receipts and in BackOffice reporting.
General group for inventory. Used for reporting & organization purposes.
A subset of Department used as a more specific organizational tool.
Number that represents the item’s scannable barcode.
Store Code (SKU)
Generated automatically for each item. Barcode labels printed from ShopKeep use this number.
Amount the customer pays for the item.
TRUE or FALSE. This option determines whether the item can be discounted at the register.
TRUE or FALSE. This option sets whether tax is applied to this item.
TRUE or FALSE. Indicates whether the system keeps track of a quantity on hand for the item.
When an item is tracked, Cost is the total amount the item costs you to sell.
Same as Cost, but for untracked items.
Number of units available. This changes as items are sold, returned, adjusted, and received into inventory.
When tracking inventory, order trigger is the lower limit for when stock is low. When an item’s quantity reaches the trigger, the item appears in the reorder report.
Recommended Order appears on the Reorder Report when an item reaches its Order Trigger as a reminder of the number of units that should remain on hand when fully stocked.
Last Sold Date
Date and time the item was last sold.
The company/party/individual from which the item was purchased for sale.
Yes or No. This option lets you know if you have set the item as a liability.
Liability Redemption Tender
If the item is set as a liability, this is the active tender it is associated with (i.e. Gift Card or Gift Certificate).
If the overall tax rate has been overridden on an item, this is the tax rate that’s applied.
