QX Stand Issues
Compatible 7Qi and 7Xi models look like the image on the right and feature a metal disk below the locking mechanism.
Purchase the appropriate model of scanner or contact Customer Care to check if your stand is within its return period.
Most likely, your scanner was never placed in ‘Auto’ mode. If it was working at one point and suddenly stopped, however, someone may have removed it from the stand and pressed the scan trigger (this makes it return to ‘Normal’ mode).

2 Place the scanner in the stand making sure the charging pins align.
3 The scanner beeps to let you know it’s connected to the stand.
If your scanner doesn’t respond to these steps, you may have the wrong model. See above for details.
Check each of the following to troubleshoot this issue:
- Verify the charging pins on the scanner line up with those on the stand. The stand’s red LED should light up to signify charging.
- Make sure the charging cable is plugged securely into the port on the stand. Also, be sure that you’re using the AC power adapter that shipped with the stand.
- Test if the power outlet could be at fault. Try plugging the charging cable into a different outlet.
- Check that you are using a compatible scanner.
