QuickBooks® via SHOGO

With SHOGO (formerly Retail Intel), ShopKeep merchants can sync their shift data for analysis in QuickBooks® Desktop for PC. QuickBooks integration via SHOGO is only available in the US at this time.

Supported Versions

SHOGO’s QuickBooks integration supports a few different versions of QuickBooks® Desktop for PC:

  • QuickBooks Accountant
  • QuickBooks Enterprise
  • QuickBooks Non-Profit
  • QuickBooks Premiere
  • QuickBooks Pro

SHOGO does not support QuickBooks® Desktop for Mac. Mac users are encouraged to use QuickBooks Online.

ShopKeep Quickbooks via Retail Intel Signup

Set Location and Point of Sale

Location information is used to generate reports that use weather data to show how conditions affect sales.

1 Enter your store name and business location information.


2 Scroll down to the Point of Sale section.

3 From POS System, select ShopKeep.


4 Enter ShopKeep account name (all one word).


Keep this tab open, you’ll be returning to it shortly to complete the integration process.

Get Your API Token

This option is not enabled by default, contact Customer Care at support@shopkeep.com or 800 820 9814 and ask for SHOGO (formerly Retail Intel) API to be enabled.

Once enabled for your account, the API Tokens option will be available.


1 Sign into the BackOffice.

2 In Settings, API Tokens.


3 Copy the whole code from this page and paste it to your SHOGO POS page.


4 Press Test to make sure the code works, then Save when you’re connected.

That’s it! Now, when the shift closes, ShopKeep will reconcile the data (~15 minutes) and send it to SHOGO for analysis. Please understand, this is a separate service from ShopKeep and any questions, issues, or comments should be referred to SHOGO.
